They can also be also used to create tunnels for the passage of tendons in orthopedic surgeries, and they have a curved design to aid in this process. They are also commonly used in hand surgeries for carpal tunnel release procedures.
The instrument features alligator type jaws ideal to manipulate small tendons. As a result, surgeons can take advantage of this mechanism and statically clamp and mobilize tissues as necessary.In addition, the device features deeply curved shafts that help in accessing narrow and tight anatomical spaces. Also, the finger rings ensure optimal control of the instrument.
