Description
Ernest Nucleus Cracker
Care Instruments offer Ernest Nucleus Cracker featuring an overall length of 11 cm – 4 1/4″ having Extra Delicate Serrated Paddle Tips with Angled working ends. It is primarily used in ophthalmology for the fragmentation and removal of the cataractous lens during phacoemulsification surgery.
They are also used in other surgical procedures that require the fragmentation and removal of hard tissue, such as in orthopedic or dental surgery.
The instrument features extra-delicate jaws that resemble a paddle shape. Moreover, the paddles have delicate serrations on their outer surface and a cross action system. As a result, surgeons can insert the tips into a 2.5mm nucleus incision.
