Care Instruments offer Feilchenfeld Splinter Forceps featuring an overall length of 7.5 cm – 3 1/4″, 9 cm – 3 1/2″ and 11.5 cm – 4 1/2″ having Spring handle with Serrated tip with groves.It is primarily used for the removal of splinters, glass fragments, thorns, or other small foreign bodies from the skin or soft tissues.
They are also used for other procedures where precise and delicate manipulation of small structures is necessary, such as in ophthalmic or ENT (ear, nose, and throat) surgeries.
The instrument features a pair of narrowed tips that easily traverse tight passages and spaces. In addition, the inner surfaces of the tips have vertical grooves that enhance the clamping action. As a result, the device helps to prevent the risk of slipping the grasped objects.
