Gerl Suture Tying Forceps
Care Instruments offer Gerl Suture Tying Forceps featuring an overall length of 8.5 cm – 3 1/4″ having Plain tips with Tying Platform with curved working ends. It is primarily used in ophthalmic surgery, particularly in procedures involving the eye’s anterior segment, to tie sutures with precision and accuracy.
They are also used in other surgical specialties to tie fine sutures in delicate procedures, such as in neurosurgery, plastic surgery, or microsurgery.
The instrument features a pair of very fine, curved jaws to easily traverse fragile structures. In addition, the jaws have 6.5mm long platforms with a smooth surface for holding needles with safety.
