Description
Hartmann Tongue depressors are used in a wide range of surgical procedures involving the oral cavity. Their principal use is to safely depress the tongue without damaging the gums or other delicate tissues. To achieve this goal, the instrument features an L-shaped blade that fits the contours of the face. The inner serrations of the blade allow for maximum tongue protection and prevent mucosal injury, thus avoiding bleeding. Additionally, the blunt-edged shape minimizes tissue trauma, thereby reducing postoperative complications. The Hartmann Tongue Depressor features a solid, flat handle traversed by a teardrop fenestration.
