Care Instruments offer House-Dieter Malleus Nipper featuring an overall length of 8 cm – 3″ having 1.3mm and 90° Down, 90° Up, Left Right working end profile.It is primarily used for removing the malleus bone during ear surgery. It is also used for dissecting tissues and grasping small structures.
They are also used in cases of chronic otitis media with ossicular erosion, ossicular fixation, or for removal of the malleus in otosclerosis.
The instrument features a guillotine-style cutting tip that efficiently nips away small bone pieces. As a result, surgeons can collect grafting material and reshape not only the bone but also its surrounding cartilage.
