Care Instruments offer Livernois-McDonald IOL Inserting Forceps featuring an overall length of 10.5 cm – 4 1/4″ having Flat Cross-Action Handle With Spring Action with Angled working ends. It is primarily used in ophthalmic surgery to insert a foldable intraocular lens into the eye.
They are also used in other ophthalmic procedures, such as the insertion of iris hooks or segments, the removal of vitreous or other tissue, and the manipulation of other intraocular structures.
The instrument features a pair of 5mm atraumatic jaws supplied with cross-action tips. Moreover, the particular tip design allows surgeons to obtain a self-clamping action. As a result, they can guide the lens easily through the anterior chamber.
