Description
Obwegeser Mouth Gag is a surgical instrument that is used in a wide range of surgical and dental procedures. Its principal use includes preventing mouth closure on sedated patient who cannot move their mandibulary muscles. The instrument features two parallel arms attached by a long screw, the upper arm can slide down along the screw to permit opening of the mouth. The arms have outer ridged for interlocking teeth and ensuring optimal fixation. Also, the arms have a screw lock mechanism with an oval handle to adjust the width of the gap between the arms.
