Rosenwasser Donor Lamella Inserting Forceps
Care Instruments offer Rosenwasser Donor Lamella Inserting Forceps featuring an overall length of 11 cm – 4 1/4″ having a flat handle with spring action. . It is primarily used in corneal transplantation procedures to insert donor tissue into the recipient’s cornea during Descemet’s Stripping Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK) surgery.
They are also used in other ophthalmic surgeries where delicate handling and manipulation of ocular tissue is required, such as in cases of corneal lacerations or perforations. However, their primary use remains in DSEK procedures.
The instrument comes with a pair of atraumatic, vaulted jaws with a heel stop. Moreover, the heel stop prevents the jaws from completely closing, which avoids clamping damage to the donor’s lamella.
