Steinert IOL Inserting Forceps
Care Instruments offer Steinert IOL Inserting Forceps featuring an overall length of 10cm – 4″ having Conically shaped jaws with Angled working ends.. It is primarily used in ophthalmic surgery for the insertion of intraocular lenses (IOLs) during cataract surgery.
They are also used for the removal of IOLs and for manipulation of the IOL position within the eye during surgery.
This instrument features a pair of angled, cone-shaped jaws supplied with flat inner surfaces. Moreover, surgeons take advantage of their atraumatic profile to grasp the nucleus. After that, the slender jaws’ outline allows the operator to pass into narrow incisions and insert the lens into the implantation place.
