It is use to control bleeding from small vessels during surgical or other medical procedures. It is primarily used to grasp blood vessels and other delicate tissues, in order to stop the blood flow and enhance the view of the surgical site.
They are also used to stop the flow of blood from a wound or surgical site. The jaws feature a pair of straight jaws with inner serrations that prevent endothelial trauma.
