Care Instruments offer Troutman Superior Rectus Forceps featuring an overall length of 11 cm – 4 1/4″ having 1x 2 Teeth with angled working ends. It is primarily used in strabismus surgery in ophthalmology to grasp and manipulate the superior rectus muscle, which helps to correct misaligned eyes.
They can also be used in other ophthalmic procedures that require the manipulation of delicate tissues, such as during the removal of foreign objects from the eye or during the adjustment of intraocular lenses.
The instrument features a pair of narrow, angled jaws to easily pass under the muscles and permit multi-directional handling. In addition, the 1 x 2 delicate teeth at the tips are ideal to firmly hold the muscular tissue.
