Baird Chalazion Forceps are specialty surgical instruments used to remove chalazions, which are small cysts that form on the eyelid. The forceps are designed to grasp and extract the cyst through a small incision made in the eyelid.
Care Instruments offer Baird Chalazion Forceps featuring an overall length of 15cm – 6” & 15.5cm – 6” having Screw lock and Flat Handle With Spring Action. These forceps are designed to grasp the cyst and extract it through a small incision made in the eyelid.
They can also be used for other surgical procedures involving the eyelids or surrounding areas, such as the removal of eyelid lesions or foreign bodies.
The instrument features a pair of oval blades that measure 11 x 8mm. Moreover, one of the blades is fenestrated and allows for chalazion isolation. Once surgeons grasp the chalazion, they can graduate with the adjustable screw lock for closing the blades and excising the chalazion.
